Initial Contact: Begin by reaching out to us with your specific commission request. We will quickly arrange a discussion to understand your needs, including the number of models you want painted and the level of service you expect. We'll also talk about pricing and materials costs if needed. After that, we'll provide you with a complete itemized quote for the commission.

Project Agreement: After collecting your details, we'll agree on a final price and a timeline for the project. Our usual turnaround times are:

• Tabletop Quality: Approximately 4 weeks from the date of agreement.

• Tabletop Plus Quality: Between 4-6 weeks, depending on the complexity involved.

• Display Quality: 4-8 weeks, subject to our current workload.

Deposits: To secure your commission, we require the following deposits:

• For projects under $500, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required upfront.

• For commissions exceeding $500, a 25% non-refundable deposit will be collected, with your agreement to our service terms.

Shipping Arrangements: Clients will be responsible for the postage costs associated with delivering their miniatures to us, as well as for the return shipping of the completed pieces. Please note that any customs or excise charges incurred during this process will be the responsibility of the client.

During the Commission: At The Distant Veil, we focus on clear communication during the commission process. Clients receive regular updates from start to finish, enabling ongoing discussions and feedback. Your satisfaction is our top priority, and we encourage conversations to make sure every detail matches your vision. Before delivering the final pieces, we'll send high-quality images for your review, letting you admire the craftsmanship and request any changes. Our aim is to provide a personalized experience that results in beautiful miniatures made to your liking.

Image Usage: By commissioning us, you allow The Distant Veil to use images of your painted miniatures on our social media for promotion. The ownership of these images stays with Distant Veil Studios.

Purchasing Miniatures: Should you require assistance, we offer the option to purchase miniatures at the recommended retail price (RRP) and will pass these costs directly onto you.

Additional Services: Please be aware that there may be additional costs associated with extra services such as building, sanding, and the careful removal of mold lines or flashing.
